The Art of Caring: Cleveland Clinic Celebrates 100 Years
Imagined as both poem and promotion, this book commemorating 100 years of the Cleveland Clinic is an act of service. The multiple campuses are international and embrace 70,000 employees—each called “caregiver” to unify both status and purpose. And that purpose is on display daily in infinite and intimate ways as both patients, their loved ones and professionals interact on the path from birth through illness, healing and dying. The challenge was to make clear that no job from seamstress to surgeon was more or less than another, and that every patient should be honored with the most sophisticated medical care as well as grace. Accomplished in the time of Covid, it was not just an assignment but a mission.
