Diptychs: Catchlight 2023 Summit

There are times when originality is best developed in collaboration. Working together forges both clarity and communication that can fuel an idea and require one to both let go and hang on for dear life. This collaboration with photographer Isadora Kosofsky, and photo editor, Elizabeth Krist, was one of the delights of my 40-year career. We brainstormed. We edited. We circled back again and again—a cocoon of creativity. And finally, with the added layer of our field audio clips—woven together by sound artist, Jesse Pearlstein—these diptychs emerged. The pairings were presented at the 2023 Summit for Catchlight—an organization that celebrates the intersection of art, journalism, and social impact on a global scale
