Gender is not either, or. Gender is not right or wrong. Gender is not a binary but an exquisite flow from male to female and back. Pick your place on the gender spectrum. Actually, your brain chooses, your neonatal and adolescent hormones chose, your culture, language and social patterns of family and trauma choose. Gender is a battleground today and we are all losers in the conflict when we disrespect an individual’s right to choose their own place on the spectrum. Those you see here may have been born in male or female bodies, but they may choose another gender path or expression. If you see them, or someone like them—don’t judge their choice but ask for their story. Nature thrives in diversity.
